Calls to Action

End Legalized Slavery

Prison labor has been a part of the U.S. economy since the late 19th century. Today it is a multi-billion-dollar industry with incarcerated people doing everything from building office furniture, making military equipment, fighting fires, staffing call centers, and doing 3D modeling.

The prison industrial complex (PIC) is a term we use to describe the overlapping interests of government and industry that use surveillance, policing, and imprisonment as solutions to economic, social, and political problems.

Over 4,100 corporations profit from mass incarceration in the United States.

We are working to end this practice in Virginia, and need your support.
